SUFFERN, NEW YORK January 28, 2010 -- After helping Americans improve their credit, Innovative Credit Consultants raised thousands of dollars in donations to help Haiti. Integrity, ethics and awareness for humanity, have contributed to the overall success of Innovative Credit Consultants. Innovative Credit Consultants contributions will go towards three American Red Cross programs. These programs are: The International Response Fund, The Disaster Relief Fund, and the Haiti Relief and Development Fund. The Innovative Credit Consultants family understands each program is equally important. These programs provide technical support, shelter, food, water, medical and daily living supplies. Innovative Credit Consultants hopes its donations will ultimately help rebuild Haiti.
The earthquake devastated Haiti with a magnitude of a 7.0 on the Richter scale on Tuesday, Jan. 12. The Red Cross, soon after declared that it had run out of medical supplies. Staff member, Schnieder LeFort said, “When I heard about the earthquake, I wanted to do something. My grandparents were from Haiti and though most of my family is now in the United States, I feel connected to my Haitian ancestry. I am glad my employer got involved.” In response to the disaster, Innovative Credit Consultants formed a task force of employees with the mission to gather donations across the United States. Including staff contributions, the national campaign amassed thousands of dollars.
"I think it is necessary to help others in every capacity that one can. During heart breaking times we have to use our strength to help others," said LeFort, head of the Task Force committee. Innovative Credit Consultants is active in the local community and is happy to contribute to the global community. "We want to think of ourselves as humanitarians before business people," stated LeFort, "On behalf of Innovative Credit Consultants, our hearts and condolences go out to the victims and their families who are suffering.”
