SAN DIEGO – Wayne Scott Andersen, M.D., a nationally acclaimed author, medical director of Medifast, Inc - one of America's fastest-growing companies – and co-founder of Take Shape For Life, will be on hand at three free local seminars in February.
Seminars are open to the public and to health care practitioners looking for ways to help fight the obesity crisis in America.
A Baylor University study predicts that more than 90 percent of Americans will be overweight or worse by 2032 if healthier eating habits and lifestyle changes do not occur. Recent stories in the media show that, for the first time, obese American adults are outnumbering those classified as merely overweight.
After years of research and refining his system, Dr. Andersen unveils the strategies that have helped people break through logistical and psychological barriers to managing their weight for good, by creating “Habits of Health.”
“During the last six years of being a health coach I have worked with San Diegans to lose a collective 20,000 pounds, and better yet, helped impact their lives by instilling habits of health,” said Kim Ruby, certified nutritionist, Take Shape for Life San Diego. “Take Shape for Life has afforded me the ability to make a additional income on my own schedule and enabled me to fulfill a life's passion.”
Dr. Andersen, named one of the nation's top physicians by the American Consumers Council for his work on nutritional intervention, was instrumental in founding Take Shape For Life, the coaching division of Medifast, Inc.
“It has been proven that losing weight is easier when there is someone keeping you accountable,”
Three FREE local seminars are open to the public and health practitioners. All seminars will be held at the Holiday Inn San Diego on the Bay 1355 North Harbor Drive San Diego, CA 92101.
