After two exciting years, the cutting-edge fashion and beauty website Above the - Fray is unveiling a new look just in time for New York Fashion Week.
This modern online magazine, a mainstay in the bookmark tabs of fashionistas nationwide, is continuing its high-quality, intelligent fashion and beauty features within a stunning new layout. Above the Fray's re-launch includes expansive images and a sleek design created in collaboration with design firm Chicn'coop. Also new: the fashion tab provides a flip-book magazine allowing readers to fully immerse themselves in the site's outstanding photography and fashion images from the runways and beyond.
While Above the Fray's look is changing, its content will continue to be smart with incisive articles, honest product and designer reviews and hundreds of tried-and- true tidbits on everything from eyeliner to insider sales. Expertly edited videos and pop-out photo spreads add new depth, and visitors can now personalize the site to their tastes by changing text size and viewing settings.
“I’m so excited about the new look,” says Editor-in-Chief Kari Skaflen. “The aesthetic is fantastic; it’s incredibly beautiful, easy to read and really does the content justice.”
Skaflen, a veteran fashion insider whose contributor credits include Refinery29.com
and Stylecaster.com, has enlisted top-notch talent to assist in revealing the new look. Former Glamour UK staffer Lizzie Barron has joined the site as Beauty Editor and nationally renowned stylist Eric Himel and make-up artist Jenny Patinkin will produce monthly themed photoshoots exclusively for the site. With freelance con- tributors such as New York-based photographer Mikey Pozarik and writer Anna Coroneo, also a contributor at Zink magazine, the site attracts an elite audience.
Fashion fiends can also expect an increase in the site’s features including interviews with trendsetters, style icons and up-and-coming designers as well as reviews and updates on the ever changing world of fashion.
