Morgan Lovell Puts Energy Performance Certificates Under The Spotlight At Ecobuild

Jan. 28, 2010 - PRLog -- For the second year running, office interior design and fit out company Morgan Lovell is in the guest speaker line-up at the London Earls Court event.

Providing 850 exhibitors and more than 100 free conference and seminar sessions – along with dozens of interactive educational attractions - Ecobuild takes place between Tuesday, 2 and Thursday, 4 March.

At this year’s seminar Improving EPC Ratings through Refurbishment, Ian will round off the session with his own talk on the subject of EPC’s and Getting Past the Jargon.

The EPC seminar – part of Ecobuild’s ‘Refurbishing Britain’ series - takes place on Wednesday, 3 March between 16.30 and 18.00 hours. Ian’s talk concludes the seminar between 17.40 and 18.00 hours.

Ian said: “Energy Performance Certificates are now required for all commercial buildings whenever they were built, and whether they are being rented or sold.
“In broad terms, these certificates record how energy efficient a property is as a building and provide ratings on a scale of A to G - similar to the labels provided with domestic appliances such as refrigerators and washing machines.
“As a result of them being mandatory, EPCs are becoming a key driver for landlords to focus their attentions on improving the energy efficiency of their existing stock.”

A registered Low Carbon Consultant, Ian’s expertise includes minimising energy use and carbon emissions from buildings during design and operation.
