Students who are interested in two-year master of finance and control programme - MFC and two-year master of business economics programme - MBE from Delhi University can now appear for the joint entrance exam for the above finance courses as decided by department of financial studies (DFS) and department of business economics (DBE) of Delhi University for the academic session commencing July 2010.

Till yet over the years there were separate exams for both courses, but now they have launched new entrance exams program with name Joint entrance exam for finance courses. This not only saves time but also but also resources for both departments. This is the first time in the education history of India that two departments of Delhi University have agreed to conduct a common exam.
They have also discussed the pattern of entrance exams, course content and admission criteria. The pattern usually consist verbal ability, general economic awareness, quantitative aptitude and reasoning. Apart from the above collaboration the admission criteria will be based on entrance exam score together with interviews which the both departments will conduct separately.

The entrance exam is on March 21 and will be held in various major cities of India like Delhi, Bangalore, Bhubaneshwar, Ahmedabad, Bhopal, Jaipur, Lucknow, Chennai, Hyderabad, Chandigarh, Kolkata, Mumbai and Guwahati. Any graduate and post graduate students with 50% marks from any stream can appear for the entrance exam. Last date for submitting application form is February 24 which students can download fromwww.mfc.edu or www.mbe-du.org.

Therefore, this collaboration is a small step in front of these market biggest threat courses, in upcoming years you will find many types of joint entrance examinations and different types of collaboration between different faculties or departments in order to face competition from foreign universities.
