REKKONING LLC INTRODUCES NEW SPRING MMA APPAREL LINE
FONTANA, California - January 24, 2010 - Mixed martial Arts has quickly become one of the most watched and highly regarded combat sports in the world. Now, Rekkoning Apparel (Rekkoning LLC) has created an all new line of clothing, fight gear and merchandise aimed directly at that audience.
"The increase in popularity of MMA and all things of an extreme sports nature is exactly why our clothing is being developed with an edge to it," says Jeremy Romain, Rekkoning LLC's Chief Creation Officer and lead graphic designer. "Companies in this industry make clothing that is based on a logo and then design around that logo, for Rekkoning, we are creating designs that speak for themselves and incorporating the logos into the design." Mixed martial arts (MMA) has seen marked increases in popularity and viewership over the last several years. Organizations such as the UFC, WEC and KOTC have been instrumental in the explosion of this sport. Some of the most lucrative pay-per-view events in recent history have been those of the MMA.
Rekkoning LLC has spent the last year developing contacts within many different extreme sports including Auto Racing, Motorcross, BMX, Surf, Snow and Drifting. However, the brand is primarily focused on the MMA market and the spring 2010 apparel line speaks for itself in that regard. "My primary focus was to get our foot in the door of every training facility and clothes on the back of MMA fighters across The United States," says Edward Neufeld, Chief Financial Officer for Rekkoning LLC. "Having been a huge fan of the sport for years it was only natural for me to encourage my partners to develop clothing we wanted to see worn by our favorite MMA stars and I feel we have done just that."
Rekkoning projects that the new shirt line will have an average retail price of $24.95 for Men's Apparel, $19.95 for youth sizes and an average price of $34.95 for Women's. Also available will be a full line of Hats, Jackets and Accessories. Rekkoning projects that their products will be available in several major apparel chains nationwide in the near future.
