NJ Honda Dealers Expect Increased Traffic From Toyota Sales Stoppage
In possibly the biggest announcement since the government bail out of domestic car companies Toyota shocked the automotive industry by suspending sales of eight Toyota models as a result of their sticking accelerator pedal recall.  The following statement made by Group Vice President and Toyota Division General Manager Bob Carter, “Helping ensure the safety of our customers and restoring confidence in Toyota are very important to our company. This action is necessary until a remedy is finalized. We’re making every effort to address this situation for our customers as quickly as possible.” was posted on Toyota.com.  This recall impacts their 2009 -2010 RAV4, 2009-2010 Corolla, 2009-2010 Matrix, 2005-2010 Avalon, Certain 2007-2010 Camry, 2010 Highlander, 2007-2010 Tundra, and 2008-2010 Sequoia models.
Correcting the approximate 2.3 million vehicles affected by this sticking gas pedal recall may be simple in comparison to regaining the confidence of the public. NJ Honda dealers stand to see significant traffic increase in their showrooms as potential buyers look for an alternative to Toyota vehicles that are currently not available for sale or just not an option for now skeptic buyers.  Open Road Honda a member of the Open Road Auto Group is already the sales volume leader among all NJ Honda dealers and 2nd in the entire nation is preparing to make Honda buyers for life from Toyota owners. Chief Operating Officer Mike Morais stated today, “Honda owners are the most loyal repeat buyers of any manufacturer and we know if customers choose Honda now the chances are good they will choose Honda for life.  Open Road Honda is prepared to offer current Toyota drivers an additional $500 Toyota recall rebate off the purchase of any new Honda vehicle.”  For more details on the Open Road Honda “Toyota Recall Rebate” please contact Open Road Honda by phone at 732-839-4777 or on the web at www.openroadhonda.com.
This Toyota recall for sticking gas pedals is unrelated to the previous and ongoing recall involving floor mats. For more information on this recall please call Toyota customer service at 1-800-331-4331.
