RALEIGH, NC – Geo. Raper & Son, Inc. (GR&S) is pleased to announce that Stephen McFarland has joined the GR&S construction team. McFarland has more than 20 years of experience in commercial building and development. His new role will focus on commercial construction operations and management.
Before joining the GR&S team, McFarland was the vice president of the Olderman Realty and Development Company in Atlanta where he managed the selection, organization, design and completion of commercial projects throughout the Southeast. Prior to working with Olderman Realty and Development Company, McFarland served as president of Commercial Concepts, Inc. and was responsible for the construction of free-standing restaurants, in-line restaurants, jewelry stores, clothing stores, department stores, gas stations, tire/auto parts stores, grocery stores, shopping centers, day spas, medical space, office space and food factories.

McFarland holds general contracting licenses in Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, North Carolina, Louisiana and South Carolina. He earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with a concentration in construction from North Carolina State University.
McFarland is a native of Atlanta and currently resides in Raleigh.
