Career Agents Network announced that it will provide scholarships to individuals with military experience that are interested in pursuing a recruiting opportunity with the company. Over the next 34 days and ending on March 1, 2010, Career Agents Network will provide US Military servicemen and women a $10,000 scholarship when they start their own recruiting business as a Career Agent and will be entered for the $20,000 scholarship.
In order to qualify, every veteran who applies to the Career Agents Network program during that period of time will be invited to write a short essay on why they feel compelled to be an entrepreneur. The company plans to post the essays at www.careeragentsmilitaryscholarships.com, where visitors to the site will be able to read them and vote for who should win the $20,000 scholarship.
In their recruiting careers, Career Agents Network owners Paul Helm and Charlotte Byndas have worked with hundreds of former military personnel. Charlotte Byndas stated that, "there are smart organizations that value those with military backgrounds and benefit from their leadership, integrity and organization skills. We value those characteristics and want to reward them with this scholarship. We think the entire nation is increasingly aware of the amazing sacrifices military personnel and their families are making. We wanted to do something to give veterans a "kick start" in launching their own business".
