Naperville, IL – Grundig Business Systems, one of the world's leading suppliers of professional dictation systems, will present its new dictation microphone Digta SonicMic II at the 2010 LegalTech, February 1 to 3, in New York, NY, at Hilton New York Hotel. Visitors of the company´s booth with the number 2125 will have the opportunity to test GBS´ wide range of products. These are all “made in Germany” including the Digta SonicMic II. The successor to the DigtaSonic Mic is GBS´s latest development in its microphone range. “We’ve worked in a number of new and intelligent additional functions for our users", says GBS Managing Director Roland Hollstein.
Ideally suited for speech recognition
One new development is that the Digta SonicMic II’s mouse control now works independently of the regular PC mouse. This feature allows for individual adjustment of SonicMic II’s cursor speed, while the PC mouse remains the same. Moreover, the new version’s sound quality is improved, and it’s ideally suited for speech recognition purposes. The Digta SonicMic II is able, for example, to control Dragon NaturallySpeaking speech recognition software via mouse control, slide switch and function keys. Thus, it's not necessary for the user to learn application–
The Digta SonicMic II comes complete with GBS´s new speech processing software: DigtaSoft 4.3. With the new version of DigtaSoft the user can import and play AMR files, such as from Blackberrys and mobile telephones.
LTN Vendor Award bronze winner
One of GBS´s premium products is the Digta 420 with “Easy Mode”. This handheld dictation device has won bronze in the Dictation Systems category at the 2009 LTN Vendor Awards by the magazine Law Technology News (LTN). It is for everyone who simply wants to dictate. If set on “Easy Mode” the display is limited to the absolute essentials, and the buttons are set for performing only the most important dictation functions.
