Expectations are high as a total of 22 balloons are scheduled to arrive from many countries around the world. These unique and unusual navigators of the air are sure to bring a smile to many a face. This year balloons from countries such as the UK, Hungary, Norway, Sweden, The Netherlands, Switzerland, Germany, New Zealand, USA, Japan and the Philippines will be participating.
As usual, there will be numerous airplane and helicopter-related demonstrations. This year a special Aviation Awards Ceremony dinner will be added. Recognition will be given to several outstanding people who have demonstrated the highest standards of flying and service, or who have made extraordinary contributions to the aerospace industry in the year 2009. The 2010 Aviation Awards will honor their achievements at an awards ceremony and dinner on February 13, 2010.
