BUSINESS IN CLARK
Clark Freeport is one of the most attractive business propositions the Philippines has to offer for investors in many kinds of businesses from BPO, hospitality, resorts and leisure facilities to condos, retirement homes, restaurants, bars and shops.
To establish a business in Philippines Clark Freeport Zone, a company has to acquire a leasehold property. There are two way to accomplish that: (1) directly with the administrative body called Clark Development Corporation (CDC) or (2) with a business that is already established in Clark Freeport.
Acquiring a property – land lease mostly – in Clark Freeport is no longer an easy matter. The onslaught of investments coming into Clark Philippines over the last 5 years have swallowed up most of the land available in Clark’s Main Zone which is about 4,200 hectares, over half of which fall under Clark International Airport and earmarked strictly for aviation-related investments. Yet, there are parcels of land still available from current stakeholders. Lease contracts are 40-50 years extendable for another 25 years subject to mutual agreement with CDC.
