Downers Grove Ice Fest: Love is in the Air coming February 13 & 14, 2010
Family fun throughout the entire weekend including a visit from the Radio Disney Road Crew!
Downers Grove, Ill. (January 26, 2010) – Join us for the Downers Grove Ice Fest: Love is in the Air on Saturday, February 13 and Sunday, February 14, 2010. Don’t miss a family fun weekend filled with ice carving demonstrations featuring National Ice Carving competitors and students, as well as activities for all ages including a visit from the Radio Disney Road Crew! This family event is an ideal place to experience ice carving at its best. Ice carving demonstrations will occur throughout the weekend on Saturday, February 13th and Sunday, February 14th from 11:00am – 4:00pm in the Downtown area. In addition to those ice sculptures, sponsored ice sculptures will line the streets of Downtown Downers Grove all weekend long transforming the Downtown area into an icy array of art.
During the Ice Fest, activities for all ages will be ongoing all weekend long in a variety of locations, providing something for everyone! Among the highlights is the Radio Disney Road Crew which will be on-site at the Main Street Train Station in Downtown Downers Grove on Saturday, February 13th from 1:30pm-2:30pm for an afternoon of music, fun, games and prizes for the entire family! Among other highlights, enjoy free face painting on Main Street at the Curtiss Street Mall compliments of St. Andrew’s Church, a free movie screening of Ice Age 3 at the historic Tivoli Theatre, a delicious pancake breakfast and musical entertainment from the Two Way Street Coffee House. Visitors from far and wide are invited to join in on the fun!
