Rummage Sale
The GFWC (General Federation of Woman’s Clubs) Sunshine Juniorettes participated in a Community Rummage Sale at Heritage Isle in Viera on Saturday, January 16. They rented a table at the sale and sold “gently used” items donated by the girls themselves, their families, friends and neighbors. They made $480 and designated it all for the Central Brevard Humane Shelter and UNICEF Emergency Response in Haiti.
The Sunshine Juniorette Club is sponsored by the GFWC Viera Woman’s Club to assist middle and high school girls in the performance of community service. Monthly meetings are held on the first Sunday of the month from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at the Viera East Golf Course Resident’s Clubhouse, 1964 Golf Vista Dr., Viera, FL 32955. All middle and high school girls are invited to join. Club’s members come from Viera as well as from neighboring communities of Rockledge, Melbourne and Satellite Beach.
