Become a Scentsy Consultant to Make Good Money

Jan. 26, 2010 - PRLog -- Selling Scentsy candles can be a whole lot more than a fun hobby that makes you a few extra bucks here and there. By investing only a few hours a week, you can easily bring in hundreds or even thousands of dollars a month. And you'll have a fun time doing it as you meet lots of people and expand your circle of friends.

Here's a quick example of how a completely ordinary independent Scentsy consultant could easily make $500 in her first month with Scentsy (and more each month after that)...

Let's say you throw 4 Scentsy parties in your first month - 1 each week. Suppose 10 people attend each party and that the average guest buys $50 of Scentsy products (all very realistic). As a Scentsy consultant, you make 25% commissions on everything you sell. So between these 4 parties, you'll make $500 in commissions (4 parties x 10 guests at each party x $50 per guest x 25% commission).

You probably will have spent about 5 hours for each party: a couple to plan it, a couple more hours at the party, and another hour sending in the order. All told, you'll "work" (is it really called work when you're at a party?) about 20 hours to bring in that $500. That's $25 per hour!

But it gets even better! One of the best things about selling Scentsy is that almost everyone who tries Scentsy candles falls in love with them and become a lifetime customer. Many of those party guests will order more and more Scentsy products from you over the coming months and years. And every time they do, you'll collect another 25% commission on everything they buy.

So even if only 20 of those party guests buy another $50 worth of Scentsy candles from you during the following 11 months of the year, you'll earn another $250 in commissions. And all you have to do to earn it is send in an order here and there. All the "work" was done during your first month. With this additional $250 in commissions (bringing the total earnings from the 4 parties up to $750), your effective hourly rate just went up to $35+.

And that's still not the end of it. Scentsy customers are incredibly loyal to their Scentsy consultant, and many of your original party guests will continue to buy from you for years and years to come. And they'll often tell friends, neighbors, co-workers, and family members, who will most likely buy through you as well. (Scentsy never sells directly to customers; all sales go through a Scentsy consultant.) Plus, many Scentsy lovers buy a lot of products to give away as presents and gifts for Christmas, birthdays, wedding showers, and other special occasions.

As the months go on, you can of course continue to throw more Scentsy parties and keep increasing your customer base, which will turn that $500 a month into thousands per month over time.
