Today RedCritter Corp. announced immediate availability of its free Salesforce.com API for Microsoft Silverlight. The Salesforce.com API allows developers to create Apps that support 2-way integration between Salesforce.com and Microsoft Outlook. Apps leveraging this new API on the RedCritter platform run directly inside Outlook and can respond contextually based on the user’s actions as they work.
"Our API allows Silverlight developers to fully harness the power of Salesforce.com and the business objects stored within it" said Erika Lambert, RedCritter VP of Marketing. "Imagine the possibilities opened up by allowing hundreds of thousands of Microsoft Silverlight developers to easily create Salesforce.com Apps that run within Outlook."
The RedCritter Salesforce.com API allows Microsoft Silverlight developers to create a wide range of Apps including sophisticated leads management, call center, sales pipeline management and other CRM and sales focused Apps. It supports querying, inserting, updating and deleting over one hundred types of Salesforce.com objects using SOQL (Salesforce.com Object Query Language) syntax. With this new toolkit, developers can create and distribute powerful new Salesforce.com Apps to Outlook users within their company and world-wide.
