Paterson, NJ – F3 Engineering has reaffirmed its commitment to quality design, development and manufacturing of proprietary motion control products for military and commercial applications through its recently received ISO 9001:2000 and AS9100:2004 Rev. B recertifications from Perry Johnson Registrars, Inc.
The AS9100 standard was established by the International Aerospace Quality Group for the purpose of achieving significant industry improvements in quality and safety, and reductions in cost throughout the value stream. The certification exemplifies F3’s dedication to not only meet, but exceed customer expectations in quality, cost and delivery as well as continual improvement in its quality and safety programs.
F3 initially pursued its upgrade from ISO 9001:2000 to AS9100:2004 Rev. B in 2006. This three-year certification standard applied ISO 9001:2000 and nearly 100 additional requirements specific for ensuring quality standards equal to those of the aerospace industry.
F3’s proactive decision to pursue the certification upgrade in 2006 has obviously paid off. With more than 95 percent of their contracts dedicated to military avionics — and now expanding into ships and aircraft carriers — the company continues to work with the U.S. Navy, Marines, Army and Air Force as well as commercial customers to integrate their technologies into applications that help sustain and mitigate shock load.

F3’s work with the departments of defense has also opened the eyes of larger commercial companies that see partnering opportunities beyond the aviation industry. Over the last decade, F3 Engineering has become one of the country’s most respected providers of complex engineering and contract manufacturing solutions for use in both Department of Defense and commercial applications.

The three-year recertification is valid through December 2012.
