Chocolate Week warms up winter in the LBI Region Feb 6-15, 2010

Begin with the themed reading and movie list, created  by the local branches of the Ocean County Library.  Bring chocolate to bed has never been this calorie free, perfect for your Chocolate Week and Valentine Day enjoyment, the librarians have chosen selections for the entire family. In addition to reading and movies suggestions, the library branches invite visitors and residents to stop in and register for their planned activities that correspond with Chocolate Week, Feb 6-15, a Destination Marketing Initiative in partnership with the Southern Ocean County Chamber .

Grab your sweetheart and take a chocolate class at Tuckerton Seaport, Minerva's B & B and the Long Beach Island Foundation of the Arts and Sciences, drop into Ocean First Bank's Little Egg Harbor branch for a Chocolate Vault event, savor a specality dessert, sample italian chocolate and sip a chocolate cocktail at one of the many particpating restaurants, watch a show with Our Gang and Surflight which features mouthwatering refreshments, treat yourself to a night's stay at a great hotel or win a week's stay when you tour the Beach Club at Pearl Street. Reminisce throught the Wedding Exhibit at Tuckerton Seaport or Hearthrobs and Beatles Exhbits at Unshredded Nostalgia. Stop in on Island Arts of Ship Bottom for Valentine Triva Contest all week long. Chocolate Week is a series of offers, activities and events that include Valentine's Day and President's Day Weekend, it was created by the Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce Destination Marketing Organization to encourage out of area visitors as well as local support.
