Working to help keep Minnesota working
MINNEAPOLIS Poor No More 2008 Productions CEO Donald Jackson Filmmaker, Director, Writer and actor has produced projects, such as “No More It’s not my fault” short film, “The Minnesota Vixen” (short film entries in the 2009 48 hour film festival) and latest project “Desert Witch” http://www.youtube.com/
Poor No More 2008 Productions Mission and goal is to KEEP WORK IN MINNESOTA. Supporting Independent Filmmakers is one of the initiatives that Poor No More Productions has taken on. We showcase Minnesota filmmakers, directors, writers, and actors though our new television show (The Guerlyn Show) http://www.youtube.com/
Poor No More Production has also taken on a new venture to KEEP WORK IN MINNESOTA. We have had conversations with the Minnesota Vikings fans clubs and their initiative to KEEP THE MINNESOTA VIKINGS in Minnesota. Poor No More 2008 Production is producing a television show covering the situation surrounding the expiration of the Metro dome stadium lease to the Viking in 2011 and their efforts to generate a new stadium. Organizations that we have spoken with are (Savethevikes.Org, WEAREVIKINGFANS.com and The Minnesota Momentum, just to name a few.
Poor No More 2008 Production has also partnered with Bluesisspiss Records, BMI affiliated. A Mississippi recording company that produced this up and coming song (The Ballard of Brett Favre) “I will If You Let Me.” Written and copy written by Gale Cuevas the father of singers Kevin and Chris Cuevas of Kiln Mississippi who are still performing in local venues.
Even though Minnesota did not make it to the super bowl this year I don’t think anyone can say that Brett Favre at the age of 40 with all his contributions to the National Football League and the Minnesota Vikings would say that he didn’t put up a good fight. His display of courage and stamina time and time again has shown a sprit in football and in Minnesota that will live on forever.
The Cuevas family wrote this song as a tribute to Brett Favre and his family as they have made the home town of Kiln Mississippi proud. With a story as Gayle Cuevas can tell from his recollection has many memories of how Brett Favre affected his community of Kiln Mississippi.
Seeing the need to share this story with the world the Cuevas family wanted to present this song to help address the concerns that Minnesota’s has regarding the lease expiration of Mall of America Stadium in down town Minneapolis which may cause the Viking to leave Minnesota.
The Cuevas want to let Minnesota know, what they already know, of Brett Favre as to be a kind, giving, compassionate and a true human being that loves football. They believe this song can help the state fight to save the Minnesota Vikings from leaving Minnesota and create much needed jobs by building the new stadium.
To encourage residents to lobby the legislative parties involved in making the decision to have a productive and updated stadium for the fans to enjoy and the Vikings to perform the game we all love to see. With this contribution we hope to do our part in making that message loud and clear, Mississippi and Minnesota want the Minnesota Vikings to stay in Minnesota. And they will if you let them. Poor No More 2008 Productions has distributorship rights of CD.
We were able to give a copy of this CD to Brett in his hands at the Minnesota home game at the Mall of America Stadium Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys.
Now it’s our turn. The Legislation meets February 4, 2010. We’ll be there. More jobs in Minnesota and GOD BLESS Brett Favre.
