MedArray Hires Life Science Specialist, Expands Facility

MedArray, an innovative device manufacturer specializing in silicone hollow fiber membranes, welcomes Mark D. Walbrook as a Life Science Applications Specialist. Mr. Walbrook will spearhead sales of MedArray technology in life science markets, and will support the Company’s manufacturing process development.
“Mark Walbrook’s experience in solutions-selling to life science markets is a great addition to the MedAray team,” said Scott Olson, MedArray’s VP & General Manager. “His technical knowledge and long term relationships in the industry will help deliver the benefits of our technology to markets that really value them.”
A seasoned sales professional with broad technical expertise, Mr. Walbrook has over 20 years experience in bioprocess markets. Most recently, he was with Millipore Corporation, handling business development in the Midwest for pharmaceutical and water markets. Previously, he worked for Pall Corporation in its biotechnology and pharmaceutical division. Mr. Walbrook began his career at Gelman Sciences prior to its acquisition by Pall Corporation, working in technology development and product management. He received his degree in industrial chemistry technology from Ferris State College.
To support its growth, MedArray recently expanded into space adjacent to its current facility in the city of Ann Arbor. “The new space will allow us to grow in place for at least a year,” stated Patrick Montoya, MedArray’s President and CEO. “As both our commercial production and R&D activities have increased significantly, we needed to acquire new space to improve efficiency and better suit our needs.”
