New website set to save UK dog owners time and money

Jan. 25, 2010 - PRLog -- Until now, amazingly, there has been no comprehensive information resource and directory for the UK’s 6 million dog owners. Well, that is set to change from today, 25th January 2010, following the launch of an exciting new website www.thewoofbook.co.uk

Thewoofbook.co.uk claims to be the UK’s most comprehensive online directory and information resource for dog owners, and features links to literally thousands of UK based dog related businesses from grooming salons to online dog stores, as well as handy features including a Walkipedia, forums and very useful advice on dog ownership.

Thewoofbook.co.uk will shortly also enable UK based dog owners to save money from participating retailers and services with a range of unique discounts and offers, not available anywhere else when its unique ‘woofpass’ scheme is launched later this year.

Founder and designer of thewoofbook, Rachel Duffield, who lives in Durham commented ‘As a devoted dog owner myself, I created thewoofbook.co.uk because I was frustrated at trawling through search results to find things for my dog only to find dead links, foreign sites, irrelevant sites etc. prior to my site when I used to look for dog products online for my Labrador, it was not unusual for me to get to page 80 on Google!’

A year and a lot of hard work later, Rachel has single handedly put together an innovative website which in its first 24 hours of going live has attracted a lot of interest from dog owners all over the UK.  Comments made on the site’s own forum include comments such ‘It's fantastic - Rachel you and your team have a done a brilliant & much needed job in producing the site’.
