The Entrepreneur’s Trifecta: Part I

Embracing Passion and Achieving the American Dream

Jan. 25, 2010 - PRLog -- If you’re searching for career alternatives, I’m sure becoming an entrepreneur has crossed your mind once or twice, and rightfully so.  Ladies and gentlemen, the American Dream is still alive and well.

The world of entrepreneurship is vast, and there are many things to consider when thinking about starting a small business.  For example, finding something that will fit both your short term and long term needs as well as being within your resources to start, can be a challenge in itself.  While you read the rest of this article, consider how becoming a commercial real estate broker might be an excellent way for you to meet all of those needs.

As a potential entrepreneur, the first item of business is to identify where your passions lay, and learn how to harness the sense of purpose, energy, motivation, and drive that is vital to the success of your new venture.  As you’ll see, whether or not you are immediately passionate about being a commercial real estate broker is irrelevant.  At this point what is more important, is whether you are passionate about being an entrepreneur.

If your having difficulty defining what your passion is on your own, I suggest you seek insight from an expert who can help you.  While everyone’s true passion is different and no-one else can tell you what the answer is, I think you’ll find that by working with a professional who is experienced in leading others through a simple self-examination process you can easily determine these answers for yourself.

After you have identified what you are passionate about, you will discover what is truly driving you to be an entrepreneur.  By discovering and embracing this you can begin to live with passion in your professional life, and experience the “upside” it has to offer.  By upside I’m referring to the intense joy, satisfaction, reward, gratitude, sense of accomplishment, and an awareness of opportunity that you’ll begin to experience and that will affect your work, your personal life and the people around you.

Your passion is going to be the reason you do an outstanding job at whatever it is you’re going to do as an entrepreneur.  Identifying your passion, and embracing the sense of purpose and drive it will give you is the first key to beginning your journey as a successful entrepreneur.

You might be asking yourself how does commercial real estate brokerage relate to all of this?  In the next two installments of “The Entrepreneur’s Trifecta”, we’ll talk about this and the importance of learning to direct your passionate energy into becoming an expert with a marketable service or product, and developing and implementing a strategic plan to share your service or produce with the world.

Cheers,

Syd
