Senior Executive Marvin Kelley from APSI delivered his thought-provoking presentation on employment services, vocational training and the future of broadband jobs around the U.S. This event was free for those individuals who are interested in learning a new trade and becoming certified in broadband technologies. Throughout his two day trip to the RTP market, Marvin was able to sit down with several employment services organizations in Cary and Raleigh, NC who are interested in knowing more about the technology and how local residents can have access to the training programs.
Marvin Kelley and APSI is committed to educating the community on new technologies that will be driving employment opportunities over the next 10-15 years. “My goal is to increase the community awareness and understanding of new broadband technology. There are many job opportunities around the US for those who choose to become credentialed in this growing market. My job is to inform the unemployed and dislocated workers of these opportunities here and across the nation,” says Marvin. Kelley. “The APSI mission is to create productive citizens by helping those who need it the most. We want to help them get back in to the workplace but in a career and not just a job”.
Marvin joined APSI and the Mike Minter Workforce Development Program in early 2008 as the Vice President of Business Development. Since coming on board he has been instrumental in positioning our programs for students who normally wouldn't have access to these types of training programs. Marvin will be traveling throughout the United States this year meeting with students and clients who are interested in broadband training courses and becoming certified in such a in-demand occupation.
Marvin will be speaking to students in Raleigh/Durham NC, Chattanooga/
