Trials of the Bloodstone Novel Release

Jan. 25, 2010 - PRLog -- Midnight's Rise Publishing kicks off its brand of fantasy, dark fantasy, and sci-fi titles with its first novel entitled "Trials of the Bloodstone".
Trials of the Bloodstone is an epic dark fantasy novel that spins a grand tale about a mysterious clan that are seeking to rescue an important member of their society that is being held captive by an unknown powerful entity. They will attempt to rescue their clan member by finding a powerful artifact known as the Bloodstone to aid them in their rescue attempt. When main character Davarian is assigned the task by his clan to find the Bloodstone he finds himself traveling alongside with a mysterious member of his own society as well as an unlikely band of bounty hunters that he does not trust. Davarian does not realize however he will find himself knee deep in dragons, alien creatures, and dark evil powers all looking stop him on his quest to secure the Bloodstone and to free his fellow clan member.
Trials was written by budding author Joseph Barresi and Midnight's Rise owner Christina Hofert had this to say about the title and Joseph:
"We decided to release Trials of the Bloodstone as our first publication because of just how epic the story really is. The characters within the book are so detailed and life like you truly begin to care about the plight and dangers that they face on their journeys. Joseph really has written a fantastic story that is sure to please people interested in anything gothic and fantasy."
Midnight's Rise Publications are still in their infancy and are still working on their website which according to Christina is going to be a blend of an online roleplaying site, e-store, and main site for their authors titles.
Christina had this to add about what is to come in the future from Midnight's Rise Publishing:
"We are looking to create a role playing game set within Joseph's world within Trials of the Bloodstone. We have a working game name of Arcanum and even though the game is still only in the beginning stages we can say that it will be a combination of World of Warcraft and Dungeons and Dragons. Joseph is also working on the prequel to Trials which he hopes to have released by winter of 2010."
Christina also mentioned that their website will allow self published authors to sell their work via Midnight's Rise e-store which could very well be a huge marketing tool for any new author looking to break into the scene.
