Actonomy xMP to support LinkedIn connectivity.
Gent – January 24th, 2010. More and more recruiters are making use of social networks to find and recruit people. LinkedIn, one of the largest business communities is becoming used by recruiters on a daily base. Searching through the various sources is not always easy for the recruiter as there is no single interface to use. Recruiters have to retype their queries and have to know the exact categories as used by the different systems. With Actonomy xMP, things become easy as there is now a direct way to extract candidate information and combine it into a single central search and match index.
Actonomy xMP MatchBase offers a direct connectivity allowing users to search in a single pass through the various sourcs, i.e. local (recruiter’s own CV database) and remote, such as LinkedIn.
“The core of Actonomy’s search and match technology is a huge knowledge base consisting of millions of combined jobtitles and skills – calles an ontology”, says Filip De Geijter, CEO Actonomy, “By using this unique and powerfull platform, search criteria get automatically converted into the correct criteria for the different sources. A recruiter can easily use ‘account manager’ even when is it called ‘sales representative’
The link with LinkedIn can be used in different ways, depending on how developers want to combine the different sources into a single search and match environment while using Actonomy xMP. The packaged version, Actonomy xMP MatchBase offers this out-of-the-box and offers a direct HR-XML link into most of the ATS or e-recruitment systems.
