Hotel Caravelle, a boutique seaside hotel in the US Virgin Islands, invites couples to enjoy romance and adventure with Caravelle’s Caribbean Honeymoon package. The romantic escape includes a bottle of champagne, candle-light dinner, a choice between a sailing adventure or an island tour. Rates for a four-day, three-night stay, package now through April 14 start at $799 per couple, including taxes and service charges. The package is $599 per couple, a savings of $100 over last year’s rates, April 15-Dec 14, 2010.

“You don’t have to be a honeymooner to book the package,” says Sid Kalmans, owner of Hotel Caravelle, “You just have to enjoy romance and relaxing in a warm, sun-soaked Caribbean island.”
The adventures, either sailing or the island tour, depart in front of Hotel Caravelle. Guests who go sailing, walk a few steps to the boardwalk and hop on Big Beard’s catamaran, which sets sail to Buck Island, a national park located two miles from St. Croix. Guests enjoy beach time and snorkel the underwater trail. The sailing trip takes guests along the coast of St. Croix offering scenic views along the way.

Sweeney guides guests through the history and culture of St. Croix in his open-air red caravan bus, taking them back in time with visits to Whim Plantation Museum, historic landmarks such as the islands two forts, St. George Village Botanical Garden as well as favorite stops including the Cruzan Rum Distillery.
“The only decision a couple needs to make is island tour or sailing trip,” says Kalmans, “But I say do it all. They are both great ways to get to know the island.” Sailing trips or island tours can be added onto the package at an additional charge.
