Reston, VA, January 21, 2010: The Haiti Hospital Resurrection Fund (HHRF) today announced its support for action taken by the US Congress to provide Americans with additional incentive to support the tremendous needs in Haiti.
“This measure encourages Americans to give to the Haitian recovery effort immediately,”
Earlier this week, HHRF announced its strategic partnership with Project C.U.R.E. that will allow the two groups to work together toward a common goal of rebuilding hospitals and providing much needed medical infrastructure. The passage of this law will allow both organizations to continue providing much needed medical assistance to the people of Haiti.
"Together with Haiti Hospital Resurrection Fund, Project C.U.R.E. will fully outfit new medical facilities in the country to support and/or replace those damaged or destroyed in the earthquake. The people of Haiti need our assistance right now, and we are working hard to provide them relief," said Dr. Douglas Jackson, president and CEO of Project C.U.R.E.
