Jan. 22, 2010 - PRLog -- The first and most important step in getting good results is selecting the correct shade or mix of shades to match your skin tones perfectly. Your skin tone changes from season to season so that a shade that looks perfect in the winter will not necessarily work for you in the summer.

What should you do?

You should start with a Customized Six Color Trial Kit. ColorTration is an unbelievably concentrated makeup. We can not stress enough the importance of starting with tiny pin-head size quantities!

First identify the shade closest to your skin tone. If you are lucky, one color will be a perfect match. If one color is not sufficient then you may have to mix colors. Do not mix colors on your skin as the first color will set up and not blend with the second color. Instead premix the two colors then apply.

Working with two shades gives you the ability to adjust your ColorTration lighter or darker as your complexion changes.

ColorTration will set quickly if you have not used too much, so setting powder is not necessary and the set will continue to improve the longer it is on. Your coverage will be waterproof and last until you are ready to remove it and then soap and water or any cleanser will remove the product easily.

It will set quickly. If it does not you have most likely used too much. If you have dry skin you may want to slow down the set time by using moisturizer before applying the makeup. ?

If you want your coverage to be more sheer, you can mix the makeup before applying, with moisturizer. This will thin the makeup to your desired level of coverage. Your favorite moisturizer will probably work well, however some moisturizer brands may not mix well with this makeup and in these cases we recommend ColorTrations Liposome Moisture Fluid . You might try diluting and applying the makeup as you would a sheer foundation on your face, allowing it to set and then going back over the discoloration with the makeup undiluted for maximum coverage just where you need it. This technique will produce an even skin tone over your entire face. Then just apply powder blush, bronzer, etc. and eye makeup and lipstick if you use them.

You can apply this product with your fingers or better still with a Camouflage Makeup Brush. The brush is about three eighths inch wide and has Taklon fibers. The brush keeps your hands clean, allows for precision application and lays down the right amount of makeup without excessive thickness and waste. This brush can be used for any liquid makeup as well.

Do not use makeup sponges with this makeup as they tend to soak up the makeup instead of applying it. If you are mixing two shades or adding moisturizer, the camouflage brush is excellent for swirling the liquid components together. The brush is easily cleaned with soap or cleanser and hot water and then shaken and blotted dry on a clean paper towel.

Our screw top three compartment Mixing Vial is the best container for blending shades, diluting them with moisture fluid and storing several days supply for short trips. Make sure you close them tightly as the makeup will dry up when open to the air.

You may also wish to consider the cost efficiency of ColorTration. Each bottle contains about as much makeup as 25 to 30 sample vials. Since it is so concentrated a bottle can last a long time. A bottle should last at least six months for the typical buyer with dark under eye circles.
