GaraMark Property Management, despite the economy in recession, is expanding its operations. The company has been enjoying steady growth since the launch of its new website last July.
“We have been getting calls from all over Canada, particularly from the West Coast” says Garret Wong, President of GaraMark Property Management.
“People seem to appreciate our unique business model and the fact we are one of the few companies in Winnipeg that are willing to manage single and multifamily residential dwellings.”
Traditionally, most property management firms manage large rental properties and apartment blocks with caretakers performing many of the day-to-day management duties. Because a single family home or duplex cannot have an on-site caretaker, this means committing more infrastructure and staffing, something many companies are not willing to do.
Garamark is creating 4 positions to accommodate the growth, placing priority on servicing existing clients ahead of profits.
“We believe in preparing for the future, and these 4 positions will start out at part time, allowing us to train the new staff with techniques from our operating manual while at the same time allowing for more expansion” says Wong.
