The increased numbers of middle-aged and elderly people will be a main factor in the spur of demand for pharmacy workers throughout the Bureau of Labor Statistic’s 10-year projection period.
"The goal of Everest College is to help our students prepare for today’s in-demand career fields, and our new Pharmacy Technician program gets the job done," said Chad Freeman, president of the St. Louis campus. "Projected market demand gives us a great deal of confidence that well-trained pharmacy technician graduates will be in solid demand for years to come."
The new Pharmacy Technician training program takes eight months to complete and entails extensive laboratory experience as well as instruction in pharmacy administration, pharmaceutical calculations, anatomy and physiology, digestive and respiratory reproductive systems, nutrition, medical terminology, pharmacology and health care systems.
