Travel Blackboard recently reported a ‘hopeless romantic’ set off a huge security scare at Newark Liberty International Airport, when a young guy thrust past security into a passengers’ only area.
A surveillance camera caught Jiang as he slipped beneath a rope barrier and walked hand in hand with his girlfriend toward the boarding area. He wanted to gain some extra time with her. This is time and a kiss that could cost him dearly.
Flights were held up for three hours and all passengers rescreened, as airport security searched for the 28 year old student, Haisong Jiang, who is studying for his doctoral degree in molecular biosciences at Rutgers University.
As authorities attempted to track down the wayward student an intensive man hunt ensued. Before the authorities caught up with him, Jiang had left the airport and gone to a gym.
Port Authorities said that Jiang has since been arrested and charged with defiant trespass. Jiang could possibly face a $500 fine.
At the John F Kennedy International Airport terminal 8 was evacuated and all passengers rescreened, when a first class passenger from American Airlines, left the lounge, opened a door that was used only by airport workers and walked through. Three flights were on the tarmac were returned to the terminal.
The infringement took place at 3.30 p.m. and was picked up by security cameras, when an alarm was set off. New York police are searching for the man and it is not clear whether the passenger will be charged.
In the Philippines, Asia News Network reported that a Saudi Arabian teenager was arrested at Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport dressed in a pilot’s uniform. He had entered a restricted area, without the proper clearance.
19 Years old,Hani Abdulelah Buchari, a student of the Master Flying School, in Pasay City, Manila, used the disguise to enter a restricted area of the airport, as he went to pick up his father, a retired Saudi pilot.

Bokhari affirmed he was simply waiting for his father, Abdulla Bokhari, who was due to arrive. He said he was wearing the pilot’s uniform to surprise his father.
The Manila International Airport Authority, which runs the terminals, affirms it is conducting a security review to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.
