Car Dealers Ripping off Consumers and making Serious Mistakes?

Car Dealers alike are making serious mistakes in their practices.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release) - Jan 21, 2010 -
I was driving in my new Toyota Corolla and suddenly I came to a stop...
I bought this car from a Dealership in Hamden, CT.
It is a certified pre-owned vehicle that undergoes a one hundred sixty point inspection (whatever that means).
Anyway, while I was coming to this stop I noticed my brakes starting to squeal, then I remembered, the mechanic said "The brakes are going to sound rough because of rust." Funny, 10,000 miles later - the brakes still are rusty.
From there I made a phone call to the dealership and asked them to take a look at the brakes.
"The Brakes aren't under warranty anymore"
"What do you mean, I only bought this car six months ago!"
"Well, I am sorry it's going to cost you $150 for us to take a look at it"
"Ok, well if I bring it in can I have a rental car as stated on my warantee? I'm paying $361 for a $18,000 Motor Vehicle!"
"You would have to speak with your salesman about that"
I was transferred back to the sales force to ask if I was able to attain a rental car while I bring in my car about its brakes. He told me to talk to the Service department. After all this phone tag I wanted to brake the phone.
I bought the brake pads for $22.00 and put them in myself.
What I am trying to say is -
1. Don't listen to what they "say"
2. Read your warranty
3. They are only liable if the manufacturer made the error not yourself
4. You have to pay for your rental beforehand, then you will be reimbursed'
