In June 2009, XLR8R Software approached Indy IT Professionals to build an extensive order transmission system to communicate orders between automotive collision repair centers and multiple large automotive part suppliers.
Indy IT Professionals created a solution involving a Windows hosted dedicated server installed with Web and MySql Database services and custom XML web services for communication. “I am very proud of my development team for creating such a robust solution. Not only were they able to complete the project on time, they were also able to build the solution within the client’s specific budget,” said Tom Wagenhauser, President of Indy IT Professionals.
“Using .net remoting services gave us the flexibility to easily synchronize the database services with a localized version of the inventory management software at each of the collision repair centers.” said Tim Young, Vice President of Application Development. “Using XML based web services allowed for flexibility in communicating with large automotive parts suppliers and their various order processing systems.”
The solution provides collision repair centers with increased human productivity and faster response time to repairs. In addition, it provides for better management of inventory and cost control.
