UTAH FLU SHOT ADMINISTRATORS, PATIENTS BENEFITING FROM ONLINE APPOINTMENT SCHEDULING

Scottsdale, Ariz. — Health departments that administer H1N1 flu vaccinations in two Utah counties are more effectively and efficiently scheduling their patients thanks to an online appointment-setting service.

Web-based Appointment-Plus (www.appointment-plus.com) gives these groups the ability to take to quickly implement a customized patient self-scheduling system for their flu-shot vaccination appointments right from their Web site.  It also manages the more traditional call-in and in-person appointments, coordinating the entire scheduling environment and eliminating the long waiting lines often encountered at vaccination sites.  Once registered, patients can receive appointment reminders via e-mail and or text.

Organizations and municipalities currently using the service include the Utah County Health Department in Provo and the Tooele County Health Department in Tooele.

“Our service is making it easier for both patients and health groups to administer this important vaccination,” says Robert La Loggia, CEO and founder of StormSource Software (www.stormsource.com), developer of Appointment-Plus. “It’s helping reduce the long lines and busy dial tones that individuals face when trying to get their flu shots.”

StormSource supplies over 3,500 clients throughout the United States, Canada and 10 other countries the tools they need to schedule customer and patient appointment times, book rooms, accept registrations and many other services.
