Cheyney University of Pennsylvania will hold a special event to honor the life and legacy of civil rights’ leader, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., on Thursday, Jan. 21, at 6 p.m.
The formal program will occur following a mock student march beginning at the Ada S. Georges Dining Hall and will end at the Dudley Theatre, with a reception to follow. The march will include a single drummer signifying the voice of one man that impacted so many lives.
Special guest speaker is distinguished alumnus Reverend Elisha B. Morris (Class of ’84) who has a passion for civil rights.
