FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release) - Jan 20, 2010 -
Actionjetz, the popular brand of online airplane games and diecast jets has launched its mobile payment system using Allopass. The goal is to enable kids aged three and up to shop online for virtual goods such as avatars, hangar add-ons, membership fees, and online games. Children are given a chance to choose and buy virtual goods related to their favourite airplane games developed by Actionjetz. This is also a step to minimize credit card privacy issues, as children will no longer need to use their parents’ card to purchase online.

Virtual goods being sold at Actionjetz are really cheap for kids. Darwin Jerome Tardio, VP for Online Game and Web Apps Development says that, “Each item costs about less than $3. It’s not big but this type of micro-transaction can amass to huge amounts. And it’s easy to do, because players won’t have to exit the game just to buy the items.”

Mobile payment service provider Allopass, is a safe and easy payment platform that enables you to buy online content. It works without having to expose credit card or banking details to any third party, including itself. This is like a phone wallet where online users key in a code and send to a special number via SMS. The reply message in return, will instruct the user to type in a password onto the game window of Actionjetz in order to process the virtual sale. The cost is then charged to the person’s phone bill.

Purchasing a virtual item on sale is easy. These are completely in-game items, meaning they can be bought while you are inside the game window.

1.   Kids would have to log onto the World of Actionjetz.
2.   Play one of the online games.
3.   During playtime, kids can spot an Actionjet item on the screen, on sale.
4.   They have to click on it and a window will appear with instructions to key in a code and send to a special number via SMS.
5.   A reply text will follow after, instructing the child to type in a password onto the in-game screen
6.   Once successful, the virtual good is then added to the child’s account.

Virtual goods already represent a multi-billion-dollar market that continues to grow exponentially. Research has shown that $1.38 billion has been invested in 87 virtual goods-related companies worldwide in 2009. This is more than three times the amount of money invested in the virtual goods space in 2008, and is expected to grow more. Mobile payment systems have been tapped to enable the growth of this industry. Online mobile payment is preferred for two things: convenience, and privacy.
