Jan. 20, 2010 - PRLog -- The provision of a duty of care to Lone Workers has today become so much easier with the launch of LoneResQ.

LoneResQ offers businesses a powerful solution to protect their lone workers. Requiring nothing more than a mobile phone your personnel can carry out their day to day duties with the reassurance that assistance is always close to hand.

LoneResQ provides managers and operators total visibility of an employee’s situation, location and device status enabling them to effectively resolve Incidents as they arise.
New legislation, such as the Corporate Manslaughter Act, adds to the strain of running a business. LoneResQ helps you meet your duty of care requirements whilst also providing your mobile workforce with the security and confidence to work safely and productively.

Key Features of LoneResQ:-

Voice Recording

When entering a place of potential risk a user enters an amber alert stage. In doing this the user has the opportunity to leave a recorded voice message that can be picked up by back office staff; further solidifying location and any extra information the individual may feel necessary for a back office team to be aware of. This voice recording can be picked up by the back office at anytime. This capability becomes invaluable if an alert is raised as it may be the difference between rescuing a distressed individual safely or not. As well as being key evidence in court that you are fulfilling you’re care of duty.

Dynamic Risk Assessment

Personnel have a duty of care to perform their own dynamic risk assessment before entering any environment. Using the traffic light based device status indicators within LoneResQ a user can verify:-
•   The battery level
•   Cell Coverage
•   GPS location strength
The status of their alerting device will contribute to their risk assessment.
The voice recording capability gives them the opportunity to report their risk assessment concisely before entering a potentially dangerous environment

Alerting Others

LoneResQ enables users and back office personnel to be made immediately aware of any panic alert raised. Alert notifications are automatically sent via e-mail and SMS to designated personnel. Upon Receiving an e-mail or SMS the user will be given a link to the LoneResQ Incident Management Web Site which will enable them to view details about the Incident in real time. Alternatively if PC access is available then the Back Office software can be used to monitor the alert.
The LoneResQ back office solution shows users in distress in a clear and concise way. Furthermore details of distressed users are supplied such as their location, user voice recorded message and the details of the panic issued, whether it is from unanswered welfare checks, duress alert or an instant user initiated panic.

Panic Feedback

With other personnel protection solutions when a user raises an alert they have no means of knowing if that alert has been received. LoneResQ eradicates that issue. A subtle change of colour, from red to blue, of the LoneResQ panic button is the indication an individual needs that their panic has been received and is being dealt with. This subtle change is evident enough for users to rest assured that their safety is being taken care of, but understated enough to not alarm any potential aggressor.

Listening In

In a red alert situation LoneResQ controls the mobile phone so that it will block an incoming call from anyone except for designated personnel. This prevents an unnecessary calls getting in the way of assessing the alert. A call from designated personnel is automatically and quietly answered on the distressed user phone allowing the monitor to discretely listen in to the situation in progress and help assess the alert. It ensures the best care of duty is given and allows managers to gauge the severity of a situation and determine the appropriate course of action, with total awareness of the issue. In addition, this system equates to lower risk rates for personnel in compromising situations, meaning more individuals leave risky situations unscathed. This in itself is priceless and truly sets LoneResQ apart from any other personal protection system.
