BREMERTON, Washington (January 2010) - Cascade General Shipyard has awarded CB Marine Design LLC a multi-part contract for $115,000 to provide engineering and drawing support for the USS Emory S. Land (AS-39).
This is a four part contract. The first portion is to update the Topside Antenna Arrangement Selected Record Drawing to reflect the current Antenna Arrangement for the vessel. A number of the original Antennae have been removed and a number of new Antennae are present. CB Marine Design LLC will survey the vessel with ship’s crew to determine the extent of the changes and update the drawing accordingly.
The second task is to update the Lighting and Receptacle One Line Diagram. The ship’s lighting and receptacle electrical systems have gone through a major overhaul to accommodate the many berthing and space changes incorporated as part of the recent Habitability Modifications. CB Marine Design will survey the vessel and update the one line diagram to reflect the actual conditions found aboard the vessel.
The third task is to create an all encompassing Power System One Line Diagram and update it. Currently, there is not a full power system one line in AutoCAD format. CB Marine Design LLC will take approximately 40 reference drawings to create a fully encompassing Power System One Line Diagram. CB Marine Design will survey the vessel and update the one line diagram to reflect the actual conditions found aboard the vessel.
The last task is to create the design for a new Grease Storage Locker. Currently, there is an unused space on the 02 Level aft. It was a trash burner room, but MSC would like to convert it into a Grease Locker and a Deck Workshop. CB Marine Design LLC will survey the vessel and create a 3-D model of the space. This model will be used to create the deliverable drawings, including Arrangement, Ventilation, Electrical, CO2, and Structural drawings.
