Mike James Of The Washington Wizards Shares The “Fight For His Dreams” In Newly Released Memoirs

Jan. 20, 2010 - PRLog -- Mike James worked hard to make it from Amityville NY to the exclusive league of  the NBA. Along the way there were many doubters and naysayers, but Mike  never gave up and has found much success in his career and personal life. He credits his faith, his family, and his drive as the key to achieving his goals.  

This project is near and dear to Mike's heart as he’d always believed that his story was one that needed to be told. He states, “It is an inspiring story about growing up in Amityville and the struggles and obstacles I had to overcome to make a better life for myself”.  Mike added “I sometimes detoured from my path but knew in my heart that if I just continued to work hard and stay focused I could accomplish my dreams of playing in the NBA and being the best I can be.”

Continuing in the tradition of The Mike James Foundation and his community efforts, Mike is striving to reach the youth through his memoirs and encourage them to Fight For Their Dreams.

Proceeds from the book will benefit The Mike James Foundation’s Scholarship Program.
