Health screenings (e.g., hearing, blood sugar, blood pressure, balance, and cholesterol)
, lectures (e.g., Identity Theft, Self-Defense, and Safe Use of Medication and Household Products), Information Booths on Senior related information and products, and getting into the rhythm by sampling a JCC Latin Aerobics class is just part of what lies in store at the 2010 Senior Health Fair, sponsored by AETNA.
With the theme of A SAFETY AFFAIR, JCC seniors - Laura Davis, Barbara Goodman, Allen Gurian, Estelle Jacobs, Rita Kane, Richard Limond, Marion Marker, Sonny Newman, Isaac Semaya, Ali Silverman, and Mara Stafman – are creating the JCC’s third claymation movie that will be screened at the Health Fair, entitled SAFETY IS SEXY. This new creation that is designed, narrated, and written by the seniors, comes on the heels of last year’s nationally and internationally acclaimed claymation movie, SEX AND THE SENIORS which was featured on Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show, with Jon Stewart.”
