In 2009, Egypt Yellow Pages Ltd, the Local Search Company, achieved a number significant milestones. The company surpassed the 100,000-mark for the number of listings featured on Yellow Pages Egypt in mid-2009. However, arguably, the greater achievement was the addition of some 25,000 listings to Yellow Pages Egypt in the second half of 2009, raising the total to 125,000-plus listings accessible by Yellow Pages Egypt users by the end of year.
Of the current 125,000-plus listings, approximately 60%, or 75,000, are geocoded, meaning the listings include accurate maps of the related business location. The geocoding process is performed internally by the Egypt Yellow Pages Ltd Local Search Team.
