ExecuTrain South Africa, an established provider of training courses for the local business sector, has invested in the expertise of Syncrony, a Gauteng-based provider of Web design and content management services, to enhance and improve its online presence.

ExecuTrain provides an extensive portfolio of courses aimed at addressing the requirements of top professionals as well as entry level learners. Syncrony was brought in to refresh and repurpose the existing Executrain website.

Both parties are delighted with the results in www.executrain.co.za.

“As a business we have progressed and advanced significantly and we wanted our website to reflect this. Aside from a fresh look and feel, with relevant and useful content that can be easily uploaded and tracked, we also wanted a partner to ensure that the functionality and ease of use was not sacrificed in any way. In truth, we wanted this latter aspect to be treated with paramount importance – because we know that it really doesn’t matter how good a site looks, if it does not work and has no true content to speak of, it is ultimately worthless,” said Renate Klass, MD at ExecuTrain.

Syncrony was selected as the online services and support provider of choice. The company has a proven track record in e-service delivery, website construction, consultation and reliable support.

The project specifications handed to Syncrony’s CEO, Howard Rybko, included the need to ensure clear, easily located course descriptions and details; a simplified online booking process, straightforward channel for customers to engage ExecuTrain and acquire sales support, as well as an online course and relevant skills assessment structure

“Our client’s main objective was to refine and add structure to intricate but necessary processes that characterize client engagement and service delivery within the parameters of online training. The key priorities were ease-of-use, functionality and valuable, practical content,” said Rybko. “As an example, in terms of the course assessment structure, we decided to construct an elegant Flash movie-based evaluation process for each of the client’s products. This would make it dynamic, quick, informative and interesting for the browser.”

Syncrony makes use of Microsoft-based DNN technology for the overall service delivery and Flash for the assessment construction. This proved the best combination to effectively meet challenges.

“One of the main challenges was to ensure that the assessment worked – both in terms of presentation and from a database, storage point of view. Results for assessments are archived and delivered to ExecuTrain for review. We had to make sure that this process continued smoothly and without any downtime or issues. Maintaining accurate course schedules also proved to be quite a challenge,” adds Rybko.

Klass adds that Syncrony has more than measured up to the criteria for service delivery laid down and has demonstrated its level of skills and acumen in this competitive area of the ICT industry.

“We outsourced this service to the right partner. Syncrony has demonstrated an exemplary level of delivery, of support and reliability throughout this project. We now have a website that accurately promotes our core business and ensures an easy, effective and solid platform through which we can engage our market,” confirms Klass.
