White Lines Audio, manufacturer of high end studio and home audio speaker systems is thrilled to announce the debut of their Model K studio monitors. The speakers are the culmination of company founder Clifford Notes' 18 years of field research in recording technology and reference systems. Mr. Notes states, "The White Lines Audio Model K speakers are the first offering in a series of products designed to revolutionize the audio industry in both performance and price. The Model K is the logical debut product, as it addresses the problems of modern playback systems at the source; that being the desk of the sound mixer." Mr. Notes further adds, "Once the consistency of recording quality is improved, the new standards for consumer playback systems becomes clearer."
The Model K studio monitor features an accurately tuned rear ported black piano gloss .5 cu ft mdf acoustically treated cabinet with superb bracing and acoustical properties. The 1 1/4" round ribbon tweeter and 6 1/2" composite cone drivers couple with White Lines Audio's magical crossover circuit to form what Mr. Notes dubs as "that elusive transcendental sound". With outstanding efficiency (88db), extremely smooth frequency response (45hz-20khz±
Within the first few months of availability, the Model K has won the ears of customers and critics alike. Electronic music super-producer Angel Alanis states, "These monitors are helping me re-define my sound - the clarity is amazing." In other accounts, the speakers have drawn comparisons to the venerable Yamaha Ns-10m. Engineer Steve Anderson, who has worked with superstars Patrulla 81 and Yung Berg comments, "Imagine all the good of the Yamaha Ns-10 without the bad - then add awesome imaging, depth, transient response, and better bass. This is the first drop-in replacement I've found for the Ns-10." Mr. Notes who is currently mixing for Chicago's Greenskeepers and London's Groove Armada states, "I'm doing the best work of my life on the Model K speakers. After 2 years of design work totaling 11 revisions (hence the "K"), it's a joy to offer the cure of my audio woes to the rest of the professional community."
Because Model K speakers are assembled and tested by hand at the White Lines Audio shop in Chicago, limited availability should be expected in the near future. "We are currently in negotiations with a handful of top level retailers," informs Mr. Notes "in the coming months we will announce authorized dealers." In the meantime, interested parties can inquire or purchase direct via the company's website at http://www.whitelinesaudio.com.
