EdgeFinder Dust Shroud and Angle Grinder
The EdgeFinder dust shroud is fabricated out of steel so that maximum duration is achieved. It incorporates a dense rubber seal that is attached via Velcro. The shroud will achieve “zero” edging from three sides with the seal in place and the front two corners are cut back to provide edging around odd shapes. The EdgeFinder is equipped with an adjustable grinder mounting system that allows quick and easy mounting to most 7/9” angle grinders without adding a thing. The dust port is 1.5” allowing use of smaller hoses that provide ease of operation and maneuverability.
Travis McCutchen, vice president for PathFinder Concepts, LLC states, “the square shape is certainly different, it comes from a logical assessment of the typical areas being ground like the kitchen or the entry way to a retail business and so the square shroud maximizes the area ground in the created right angle.” The DustFinder dust shroud is capable of reaching zero distance from the front and two sides while connected to an angle grinder. The corners of the EdgeFinder square are cut off in an effort to allow grinding around odd shapes.
The DustFinder also incorporates a unique mounting system that allows fit-up to any angle grinder with a bearing case measuring 2” through 2 7/8” without changing or adding anything. This characteristic allows changing from grinder to grinder without purchasing specific mounts and eliminates the fit-up issue that most consumers experience with currently available products.
