Mark your calendar for the 8th Annual Winter Games in the White Mountains, January 30 and 31, 2010. Sled Dog races will be held at Sunrise Park Resort on Saturday & Sunday, starting at 9am each day. There will be 3, 4, and 6-dog teams competing for cash prizes. On Sunday around noon, the Mountain Mushers will sponsor a kids' race, so bring the kids and let them experience running the dogs.
The fun continues at Hon-Dah on Saturday afternoon, when the Winter Festival kicks off at 2 p.m. at the Hon-Dah Festival Grounds with the Dog weight pull, Northern Breed dog show, Mountain Mutt's dog show, Ice Sculpting competition and Chili, Salsa, Fry Bread Cook-offs. This extraordinary family experience will be a memory you'll revisit for years to come.
