Downers Grove, IL – Is good grammar going out of fashion given the popularity of texting and micro-blogging sites like Twitter? A recent TIME magazine column by James Poniewozik suggests that grammar is more important than we realize. In Poniewozik’s article about the Leno-O’Brien debacle, he mentioned that one of his neighbors was canceling her subscription to the New York Times because it contained typographical errors.
“Perhaps this is an isolated incident where business was lost to poor grammar, or perhaps we hold journalists to a higher standard than the rest of us,” says Marketing Lure owner and writer Sue Anderson-Lenz, “but I’m not convinced. Deep down, I want to know if any business can be impacted by the quality of their writing.”
The brief survey takes no more than two minutes to complete, and measures how writing errors in online and print material influence our behavior and opinions. Survey respondents will have the option to remain completely anonymous, or submit their e-mail address to receive survey results. Follow this link to take the survey now:

Marketing Lure will keep the survey open until February 28, 2010, and findings will be published in their company blog (http://blog.marketinglure.com) during the March/April timeframe.
