Epic, a leading provider of clinical information solutions including electronic medical records, is one of the most highly recognized clinical software providers in the healthcare industry.
OST was selected by Kettering Health Network because of its extensive experience in deploying complex and highly available server, storage and backup solutions that meet the rigorous standards demanded by Epic. Kettering’s new Epic environment will run on HP-UX servers, Serviceguard and Windows. Kettering’s Epic implementation will also include ECP (Enterprise Cache Protocol) allowing them to take advantage of a scale-out server design. This enables Kettering to deploy lower-cost server solutions with abundant capacity and performance growth.
OST has successfully assisted several other healthcare clients in deploying Epic for their mission-critical needs.
OST’s implementation of the first phase of the Epic project is expected to complete by early October 2009.
