Blissliving Home Honored with ARTS Award

Jan. 18, 2010 - PRLog -- Blissliving Home, the destination interior lifestyle brand for the stylish consumer seeking modern design with global influence, was announced winner in the Manufacturers – Home Textiles category at the 21st ARTS Awards.

The ARTS Awards, presented each January during the Dallas Total Home & Gift Market, is the premier awards program for the decorative accessories industry and recognizes excellence from retailers, manufacturers, sales representatives and designers in twenty-six different categories.

Sponsored by Dallas Market Center in cooperation with the Accessories Resources Team (ART), the ARTS awards are a peer-voted program. A call for nominations runs from April through June and all manufacturers such as Blissliving Home are nominated by retailers, sales representatives, designers, suppliers, consultants and other industry officials. Finalists, determined through a voting process, are announced in August and are required to submit a binder and product presentation for judging. Finalist presentations are reviewed by a panel of judges during a two-day review in November (this year’s judges included David Cadwallader, of Cadwallader Designs, Dixon Bartlett of HB2 Resources, Emily Johnston of EJ Interiors, Lynn Brandon of the University of North Texas, and Mark McMenamin of Interior Design Magazine). An independent accounting firm tabulates individually-sealed, secret ballots. Winners are finally announced at the ARTS Awards gala.

This year’s gala event was held in the evening of Saturday, January 16 in the Grand Pavilion at the Dallas Trade Mart and was attended by more by more than 500 guests consisting of a wide range of retailers, manufacturers, sales representatives, media, and designers from across the country.
