They understand the fullness of God and how his power can help to strengthen their resolve to get better and be able to lead a more productive and normal life after treatment.
They are given a hope that is lasting because it puts them into the light of knowing who to go to for help when they fail and that they are not alone in this world, but there is God and people that he uses to bless others. The idea of carrying this burden alone is no longer a reality after they are involved in a faith based treatment program that works.
