American Family Insurance donates funds to Haiti recovery efforts

Jan. 18, 2010 - PRLog -- Madison, Wis. (Jan. 18, 2010) – American Family Insurance is donating $10,000 to help treat victims from the devastating earthquake in Haiti. The company also established a matching program – up to a total corporate matching donation of $50,000 – for employees and agents who want to make personal donations to earthquake relief programs.
The company is contributing $10,000 to the Haitian chapter of Partners in Health (PIH), a U.S.-based non-profit organization focused on providing high-quality health care to impoverished areas around the world. PIH opened its first clinic in Haiti in 1985 and currently staffs nine facilities in the country, all miles from the quake’s epicenter and involved in the massive recovery efforts.
American Family has more than 7,600 employees and 3,800 agents in 19 states.
